v9.0 Outlook
I'm looking for beta testers to try the v9.0 (once it's in beta state). Let me know here
Quick heads up on what to expect mid-term. v9.0 will come with a completely revamped way of storing its settings.
- only *1* entry in wp_options
- supporting backup of all options/forms in one step
- overall performance increase
- much less get_option() calls
- direct $var access for settings
- less memory consumption
- There will be specific steps required in terms of upgrading (including backups just to be on the safe side of things) since it's essentially a heart transplant.
